About
Company History

Cel Data Services (often abbreviated CELDS) was established in 1988 as a subsidiary of ‘Credit Européen Luxembourg’ (CEL), a banking subsidiary of ‘Bank Brussel Lambert’ (BBL).
Started as a maintenance company for BBL, Cel Data Services gained a lot of experience and know how in the area of computer systems, networks and self’service banking systems, i.e. in the fields of development, installations, maintenance and repair.
During that time Cel Data Services was already a complete subsidiary of BBL.
In 1998 BBL was acquired by the ‘Internationale Nederlanden Groep’ (ING Group N.V., a financial institution of Dutch origin, offering banking, insurance and asset management services).
Meantime, Cel Data Services further expanded its activities, including dealer services, maintenance of surveillance equipment and alarm systems, and became Authorised Service Provider (ASP) for several partners.
For some years (2002 – 2008) the Cel Data Services activities that solely focused on the members of ING Group (excluding dealer services and maintenance for other companies) were placed under a separate legal entity ESV-GIE (Economic Interest Grouping EIG) under the name ‘ING Technics’. Finally, in 2008, all activities were reassembled under N.V. Cel Data Services S.A.
With its main offices located in Brussels and its field service covering the Belgian territory, Cel Data Services is able to perform state of the art banking maintenance, keeping the equipment downtime to a minimum.
